ZWO has announced the new monochrome version of their popular ASI533MC-Pro cooled astronomy camera. Like the color version, this new camera features a 1″-class square sensor with 9-megapixel resolution, two-stage cooling, low read noise, and virtually no amp glow. It also features an estimated quantum efficiency of 91%, making it easier to quickly capture images of deep-sky and solar system objects using sets of standard LRGB and line filters (sold separately). The camera also features a 512MB data buffer and USB3.0 data transfer. The ASI533MM-Pro is available for pre order now with limited quantities expected to ship in May 2022.
