Vaonis, known for its Stellina smart scope (reviewed here), has announced its latest new product, Vespera. A Kickstarter campaign provides backers with early bird deals (MSRP: $999-1999). Vespera’s four-element apochromatic 2″ f/4 telescope feeds an HD (1920 x 1080) camera, provides a wide 1.6° x 0.9° field. Vespera’s electronics feature a catalog of objects, tracking, autofocus, and image processing software that includes live image stacking. Weighing in at just 11 pounds, Vespera stands 15 inches tall and is designed for easy, safe transport.
