Stellarvue has announced the SVX102D doublet refractor, its first doublet in many years. Like other models in the SVX line the SVX102D is optically figured in-house by Stellarvue. The SVX102D shares the f/7, 102mm specs of the SVX102T triplet, and uses the same aluminum tube and 3” focuser, but at significantly lower cost. Tube rings and a heavy duty case are included, along with a Zygo interferometric test report taken at full aperture. Pre-orders are being accepted for the SVX102D, with shipments expected to begin in 2022.
