Starlight Instruments, manufacturer of the popular Feathertouch focuser series, has announced a new system for the most demanding astrophotography applications. The Feathertouch GEN II system (MSRP: $1275) is 3 inches in diameter, designed to handle heavy loads, and is threaded for cameras, spacers, and corrective optics. The motor drive system has 2.3 microns/step resolution that can be upgraded to 0.23 microns., and is fully ASCOM-compatible, with direct support for TheSkyX software.
