Sharpstar has introduced a new fast focal ratio Cassegrain astrograph. The Sharpstar SCA260 features an aspherical f/5 primary mirror of 260mm aperture and an integrated three-element air-spaced corrector, resulting in an 80mm image circle. The new astrograph’s 1300mm focal length produces a 1.5o x 1.0o field of view on full-frame sensors. The carbon fiber tube includes cooling fans for temperature stabilization. Primary and secondary mirrors are coated with enhanced aluminum coatings for 95% reflectivity. A 3″ dedicated two-speed focuser features a two-section thread design incorporating M54×0.75 and M48×0.75 male threads to interface with most popular astronomy cameras.. CNC-manufactured mounting rings, Losmandy-style mounting plate, and carrying handle/accessory plate are included.
