OCAL has announced the new Electronic Collimator for precise collimation of Newtonian, Ritchey-Chrétien, and other reflecting telescopes. The basic system is operated via a computer, with results immediately viewable on-screen, or with phone using the PRO version. The Electronic Collimator also determines if the primary mirror central spot is misplaced. The collimator is battery-operated and attaches to telescopes via M42 threads using included adapters, if needed, avoiding errors that can occur with visual methods.
