Going Deep: Orion’s New StarShoot APS CMOS Mono Camera

Orion has announced their first APS-C format CMOS camera, the Orion StarShoot APS-C Mono Imaging Camera. With >85% quantum efficient and 622×4168 native resolution, the new camera is ASCOM compatible for use with popular image capture applications. The new camera features low readout noise (as low as 0.7e-), zero amp glow, and exposures from 0.1ms to 3600s, sending up to 3.4 fps over a USB 3.0 connection in full resolution.
