Designed to power telescope mounts, smart devices, cameras and other equipment, Explore Scientific’s new USB Power Bank with Red LED Flashlight provides 8300 mAh of power for observing and astrophotography in the field from its Lithium-Ion battery. Power is available from two sizes of ports for 12-volt devices and a USB port provides 5 volts for USB devices. The 1.4-pound power unit has a rubber covering that for minor impact protection and to seal out dirt and moisture, and operates at temperatures from -4 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The soft red LEDs are meant for use at dark sites without ruining night vision. Typical full charge time is 5 to 6 hours from a full discharge.
