Askar Releases Its Largest Petzval Quintuplet Astrograph: FRA600

Askar has released the FRA600 quintuplet astrograph, the largest of its Petzval refractor designs for widefield deep sky imaging. The Petzval design incorporates five optical elements, including the two-element ED objective. The FRA600’s aperture is 108mm with a focal ratio of f/5.6 creating a 66mm image circle. The FRA600 comes with a dual-speed, rotatable 4.2” rack-and-pinion focuser, M90-M54 and M54-M48 adapters, 2” adapter ring, retractable dew shield, and 1.25”-2” adapter for small cameras and visual observing. Mounting rings, Losmandy-style dovetail, a carrying handle, and a hard case are also included. An optional 0.7x focal reducer is available to provide a focal ratio of f/3.9.
