Askar has added a new astrograph to their PHQ line, the 80mm f/7.5 80PHQ. The quadruplet, air-spaced APO lens includes two elements made from ED glass, and provides a flat field so a separate field flattener isn’t needed, according to Askar. Four adapters are included to match the threads on various cameras to the 3-inch rack-and-pinion focuser. The 80PHQ can also be used visually with 2-inch eyepieces. The new astrograph includes a retractable dew shield, tube rings with integrated handle, and a 300mm Vixen-style dovetail plate.
