Askar has released their new 103PHQ, a 130mm quadruplet apochromatic refractor for astrophotography and visual observing. With two ED elements, this f/7.7 refractor features excellent color correction and supports a 60mm imaging circle for imaging with full-frame cameras without the need for an additional field flattener. The 130PHQ is assembled with CNC-machined components, and the tube has a smooth spray coating and green metal trim. The scope includes tube rings, Losmandy dovetail plate, a handle that can hold a guide scope, a 3.4” dual-speed rack-and-pinion focuser, 360o rotator, and a range of threaded camera adapters. Askar also offers an optional 0.7x focal reducer to bring the effective focal ratio of the telescope to f/5.4.
