ASA Announces Advanced Large-Aperture Ultra-Fast Telescopes

Austrian telescope maker Astro Systeme Austria (ASA) has announced the release of a series of ultra-wide-field telescope systems and optical tube assemblies for wide-field imaging and all-sky surveys at university and professional observatories. These new systems include instruments of 300m aperture with f/1.3 optics, 600mm aperture with f/1.7 optics, and 1-meter systems at f/1.3 and f/2.5. These telescopes feature aspheric 5-lens correctors, motorized focusers with absolute encoders, and main mirrors / correctors that are fully electronic to allow easy, remote collimation.
